Sessions at Human Development and Family Studies Department

We are happy to share about our sessions at the Department of Human Development and Family Studies.

These sessions brought together enthusiastic and participative young adults who actively engaged in discussions. The program focused on self-awareness, identifying strengths, effective problem-solving, and stress management through simulations and interactions.

During the session on self-awareness students learned about different types of strengths and identified their strengths in areas such as moral, physical, emotional, and cognitive.

In the problem-solving session, we examined our general approach to problems and used the skills of perspective-taking and critical thinking. Participants discussed and tried to find best solution to a real-life potential problem.

The session on stress explored how stress affects the body, natural responses to stress, and its lingering effects.

Each of the three sessions exceeded the scheduled time, with an average of half an hour extra spent in meaningful engagement. The students’ curiosity to learn, think, and share their perspectives made these sessions truly rewarding.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Rachana Bhangaokar (I/c Head of Department) for her invaluable support in providing the opportunity to conduct these sessions. Our sincere gratitude also goes to Dr. Jigisha Gala for seamlessly coordinating and managing the collaboration between us and the department.
