We are happy to share successful completion of the Heartful Mind Sessions at Sai’s Angel Foundation. Held in May 2024 at Yuvalay, Vadodara, the program engaged 27 ninth and tenth standard students supported by the foundation, focusing on emotional and social development through interactive activities.
The program began with an introductory session to build rapport between facilitators and students, setting a positive and open learning environment.
Students built understanding that treating others with kindness promotes mutual well-being. Linking it further, we talked about happiness and compassion, highlighting that our well-being often depends on our interactions with others.
Students explored the differences between the brain and the mind, learning about the three parts of the brain, their functions, and identifying their individual learning styles.
Activities like puzzles helped students understand non-verbal cues and the diversity of perspectives.
Students delved into the importance of thoughts, emotions, imagination, and memory, fostering better communication and empathy.
The sessions received immensely positive feedback from both students and the Project Coordinator at Sai’s Angel Foundation. The students appreciated the engaging format and the valuable insights gained, expressing a strong desire for the continuation of such programs.
In the words of Ms. Rameshwari Gajjar, Manager at Sai’s Angel Foundation,
“The “Heartful Mind” sessions provided a valuable opportunity for our whizkid 100 young children to gain a deeper understanding of themselves. The children thoroughly enjoyed the activities and sessions, particularly appreciating the engaging methods used by trainers Hardik and Kirti. The storytelling and play-way techniques not only captivated the children but also instilled essential values such as compassion, love, and helping others. These sessions encouraged the children to reflect on their own value systems, allowing them to recognize and cherish the values they already possess. I am really grateful to Kirti and Hardik – Leading Life team to give our children such an exposure to not just have fun but also learn by various creative methods.”
Special Acknowledgment: We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. H.T. Patel for graciously providing Yuvalay as the venue for the sessions. His support was instrumental in creating a positive and enriching experience for the students.
