सद्भावना से संवाद तक|

The idea of Sangam was born from a very simple yet powerful thought: Many individuals and groups are doing remarkable work for society in Vadodara—often quietly and in different corners, with deep sincerity but limited connection to one another.

Thoughts put into action started with a small gathering of passionate people who are engaged in efforts of goodness for society ; to come together, meet one another and strengthen the spirit of service.

Sangam is that space where these journeys could intersect — where people driven by purpose could meet, share, learn, and grow together.

Interestingly, Sangam did not begin with a long planning phase. The intention was to invite 10–15 people who cared about social impact and meaningful work, and simply sit together in conversation.

But sometimes, when an idea carries sincerity, it finds its own momentum.

The Moments That Defined the Spirit of Sangam

Even before the first gathering happened, life gave us small signs that this space was needed.

A Meeting at a Petrol Pump

One day, while getting fuel filled, my mother casually asked the young woman working at the petrol pump if she was studying.

Her reply surprised us.

She shared that she had already completed her BSW and MSW. The job at the petrol pump was only part-time. From morning to evening, she runs her own NGO.

In that moment, the petrol tank was not the only thing being filled — our eyes filled with emotion too. Here was someone quietly working for society, unknown to us just moments before.

When Sangam took shape, she was one of the people who joined the gathering.

A chance encounter had become a meaningful connection.

A Young Founder at an Interview

Another story came through colleagues who were conducting an interview. During the conversation, they discovered that the candidate had started an NGO at the age of 19, while still a student.

A young person, already walking a path of service.

He too became part of the Sangam gathering.

These moments reinforced the core belief behind Sangam:
There are many good people around us. They simply need a space to find each other.

The first gathering welcomed more than 30 people.

And something even more beautiful happened — every single person present agreed that this space must continue.

Sangam was never meant to be a formal event or a structured conference. It was meant to be a meeting of hearts and intentions.

Over time, the vision became clearer: Sangam could become a platform where resource sharing, funding support, learning opportunities, and collaboration flow naturally between people who are already doing good work.

The process evolved simply:

  • Bring people together
  • Listen to each other’s journeys
  • Share resources
  • Open doors for collaboration
  • Create opportunities for learning and funding
  • Begin building a shared digital space and website

Sangam is still young, but its foundation is strong — built on authenticity, shared purpose, and genuine human connection.

Sangam is not just about meetings.
It is about community.

It is about ensuring that people who choose the path of service never feel alone in their journey.

And this is only the beginning.

Leading Life is an active member of the Sangam community, quietly strengthening the initiative by supporting its behind-the-scenes planning, coordination, and foundational work.
